Check any domain's email setup for free: its MX, SPF and DMARC records in one report, rolled into a single verdict on whether the domain authenticates its mail and resists spoofing. No sign-up.
Getting mail to the inbox has two halves. Authentication is what you publish in DNS (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) to prove a message genuinely comes from your domain. Reputation is what you earn over time: consistent volume, low complaint and bounce rates, and recipients who actually engage. Authentication is the foundation you can fix today with the right records; get it wrong and even perfect content lands in spam. This checker reads the authentication records from public DNS so you can fix that foundation first.
Four DNS-based pieces work together. This tool checks three of them from the domain alone; DKIM needs your sending selector.
Advertises receiving mail servers. A null MX explicitly refuses mail; a missing MX may allow an address fallback.
Lists which servers may send as the domain. The first line against spoofing.
Cryptographically signs each message so tampering and forgery are detectable. (Checked with the sending selector, not by domain alone.)
Ties SPF and DKIM to the visible From address and sets what happens on failure.
Yes, and it needs no sign-up. It reads the domain's public DNS to check MX, SPF and DMARC in one pass and explains the result. Nothing to install, nothing to pay.
Email deliverability is whether your mail reaches the inbox rather than the spam folder or a bounce. It has two halves. Authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, published in DNS) proves your mail is really from you, and reputation (your sending history, complaint and bounce rates, content) decides how much a receiver trusts you. This tool checks the authentication half, which is the foundation: get it wrong and even perfect content lands in spam.
Authentication is what you publish in DNS: SPF, DKIM and DMARC records that let a receiver verify a message genuinely comes from your domain. Reputation is earned over time: consistent volume, low complaint and bounce rates, and engaged recipients. Authentication is a prerequisite you can fix today with the right DNS records; reputation is built by sending well. This checker covers the authentication foundation.
At minimum: MX records so it can receive replies, a valid SPF record ending in ~all or -all, DKIM signing enabled at your email provider, and a DMARC record that moves from p=none toward p=reject as your senders are confirmed. This tool checks MX, SPF and DMARC directly; DKIM is verified with the selector your provider gives you.
DKIM keys are published at a selector-specific name (like selector1._domainkey.yourdomain.com), and the selector is chosen by whatever service signs your mail, so it cannot be discovered from the domain alone. MX, SPF and DMARC live at predictable DNS names, so they can be checked from just the domain, which is what this tool does. Your email provider's settings page shows your DKIM selector and record.
No, and any tool that promises that is overstating it. Authentication is necessary but not sufficient: it proves your mail is really from you, which stops it from being filtered for looking forged. Inbox placement also depends on your sending reputation, list hygiene and content. Fix authentication first (that is what this tool is for), then send well to build reputation.
Whenever you set up a new sending domain, add a new email service (a CRM, helpdesk or ESP that sends on your behalf), or notice mail landing in spam. DNS changes take effect within minutes to a few hours, so re-check after any edit. Since the tool is free and needs no account, checking is cheap.
